The "Football" is a ruggedized, portable combination data-logger/event monitor.  It is based upon the Interceptor-2500 Event Monitor, with several optional components built-in.  There are situations where it is absolutely imperative to collect, store,  retrieve, monitor, and act upon data in remote/hazardous environments.  The football enables data collection in areas where it is impractical/impossible to use a notebook computer with an external data-acquistion device/logger.  It has been designed to take on an aeroplane as carry-on luggage (subject to the discretion of security/airline personnel).
